Guarding the taxpayers’ hard-earned money and ensuring it is not wasted is one of the primary responsibilities of our elected officials.  Here in New York, our leadership has failed in this key job.   New York spent $53 billion last year on Medicaid, the fraud-riddled health program for the poor – $11,000 per participant.

Lalor to Host Veterans Roundtable with Assemblyman Molinaro

October 5, 2011 – Poughkeepsie, New York:  Dutchess County veterans activist and New York State Assembly candidate Kieran Michael Lalor announced today that he will be hosting a Veterans Roundtable and press availability with three term Assemblyman and County Executive candidate Marc Molinaro.

The event is scheduled for Thursday October 13th from 1 pm to 3 pm at VFW Post #170 located at 1 Violet Avenue Poughkeepsie, New York.  The event is open to all military veterans.  Refreshments will be served.

I'm very proud that back when few in politics were talking seriously about cutting the size of government, the Poughkeepsie Journal editorial page stated that I was "definitely a straight-shooter" offering "a lot of common sense about the government's need to cut out waste, fraud and abuse."
